TCG offer a service which is staff intensive and have recruited and developed a large workforce, many of whom are local people. Comprehensive trainng is offered to all staff to ensure that they have the skills to work with an extremely difficult and challenging group of people. Training and staff development are integral to the running of the organisation and we have achieved the Investors in People Award in recognition of our commitment in this area.
We have achieved the IIP ( Investors In People Award) Silver for the first time and are proud to be recognised as a good employer.
The ethos of the organisation is to promote respect and dignity for the people placed in our care.
We aim towards maximising the potential of each and every person and to minimise the potential for re-offending. It is therefore crucial that the staff we select to work with our service users demonstrate the right attitude, understanding and ability to work positively and sensitively with our service users.
We actively promote the DOLS legislation (Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards) and ensure that all of our service users have the relevent assessment by specialist teams.
